Abstract
Influenza A is a seasonal infectious respiratory disease that remains a global health problem due to its high transmission rate and potential to cause outbreaks. This study aims to analyse the determinants of Influenza A incidence in Indonesia in 2024. This study was conducted using a cross-sectional study design by utilising secondary data from interviews and laboratory examinations in ILI Sentinel Surveillance in 39 Puskesmas Sentinel in Indonesia. The population in this study were individuals enrolled in ILI Sentinel Surveillance in 2024. The samples consisted of 1,505 samples with symptoms of ILI, who underwent RT-PCR testing for Influenza A and had complete data, selected through purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out in stages starting from univariate, bivariate using the Chi-square test, to multivariate using the Cox regression test. The results of the analysis showed that the proportion of Influenza A incidence in 2024 was 25.6%. The rainy season factor dominantly increased the incidence of Influenza A in Indonesia (aPR = 2.2; 95% CI: 1.751-2.763). As a recommendation, it is important to get vaccinated against influenza every year as recommended by WHO and maintain immunity, especially during the rainy season, through consumption of nutritious food and healthy living behaviour.
