Abstract
Multimodal sensory stimulation is a therapeutic approach that combines different types of stimulation from various senses, such as visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and gustatory, to improve the awareness and response of patients with decreased consciousness. Objective: This study aims to analyze nursing care based on evidence-based nursing (EBN) and its impact on improving the consciousness of patients with head trauma who experience decreased awareness through multimodal sensory stimulation. Method: The method used is a case study involving assessment, analysis, diagnosis, intervention, implementation of EBN, and evaluation using the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS). The results are then analyzed according to reference journals. Data collection was conducted in March 2025. Results: Both patients showed significant improvement in consciousness, with Patient S's GCS increasing from E2VTTM6 to E4V4M5. Patient B's GCS improved from E3V3M5 to E4V5M6. Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is an increase in the consciousness of head trauma patients after receiving multimodal sensory stimulation interventions. Recommendation: Future researchers are encouraged to analyze patients with other neurological disorders related to traumatic brain injury using multimodal sensory stimulation. Keywords: Case Study; EBN; GCS; Multimodal Sensory Stimulation.
