Abstract

It is natural for women to desire to appear beautiful. Skin is an asset that enhances a woman's beauty and attractiveness. Healthy and radiant skin is the ideal of every woman. Cushion foundations are among the most sought-after beauty products due to their superiority and practicality compared to other types of foundation. The abundance of local cushion products available in the market makes it challenging for consumers particularly those with oily skin to make the right choice. Therefore, a system is needed to assist in providing cushion recommendations based on relevant criteria. This study aims to design a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) by implementing a combination of the TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) and Weighted Product (WP) methods. The combination of these two methods is intended to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reliability in the decision-making process. The system is developed using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The outcome of this research is expected to assist users, especially women with oily skin, in selecting local cushion products that best meet their needs.
