Abstract

Background:Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease caused by the dengue virus and transmitted through the bite of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito. It can lead to serious symptoms such as high fever, headache, body pain, nausea, and skin rash. Children aged 12 years and under are known to be the most at risk of contracting DHF. Method: This study employed a case study design to evaluate nursing care provided to patient An. J with DHF at RSPPN Panglima Besar Soedirman, South Jakarta. The approach used involved the five stages of the nursing process: assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Results: The nursing diagnosas identified were hypovolemia, risk of bleeding, and nausea. Interventions included hypovolemia management, bleeding prevention, and nausea management. The first and second diagnoses were implemented for 4×24 hours, while the third was carried out for 2×24 hours. Evaluation showed that the problems were resolved in accordance with the applied interventions. Conclusion: Proper nursing interventions can effectively address hypovolemia, risk of bleeding, and nausea in patients with DHF.
