Abstract
This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the crime of genocide which has been occurring for a long time between Israel and Palestine, starting in the period October 2023. Because the violation of the crime of genocide has caused unrest and concern by a number of parties, one of which is the United States of America which is suing this case to the ICJ and resulting in a temporary decision that must be implemented by Israel. However, Israel does not heed this decision and continues to carry out its crimes accompanied by reasons in the form of self-defense against attacks carried out by Hamas. The aim of this research is to determine the juridical impact that will arise in the future due to Israel's non- compliance with the Genocide Convention, as well as to examine the reasons that Israel has so far stated as a shield to avoid the responsibilities it must carry out. It is hoped that the Genocide Convention as the main reference in this research can be an answer to existing problems. Normative legal method that focuses on analyzing international legal cases. In the end, it can be concluded that the reasons given by Israel continuously cannot be justified because they are not in accordance with the provisions of international law and are not persistent objection. The juridical impact on Israel's actions is the emergence of state responsibility due to violations of international law.
