Abstract
This study aims to examine cyberactivism within the Black Lives Matter transnational social movement in advocating for racial equality among Black communities in the United States during the 2017-2020 period. The study employs the concepts of transnational social movements, cyberactivism theory, and institutional racism. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the research relies on both primary and secondary data sources. Data collection was conducted through literature review, and the author applied the four stages of data analysis by Miles & Huberman: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. This research explores contemporary situations and the phenomenon of racism and discrimination against Black people in the United States. The findings reveal that the Black Lives Matter social movement plays a highly significant and inspiring role in advocating for racial equality, particularly for Black communities in the United States and globally.
