Abstract

The increasing global demand for renewable energy has driven the need to improve the efficiency of photovoltaic (PV) systems. This study develops a hybrid system integrating a Thermoelectric Generator (TEG) and a water mist cooling mechanism to optimize the performance of solar panels. Experimental data show significant reductions in surface temperature, 3,41% increase in panel efficiency and 7,95% increase in panel output. The TEG module provides additional power output, generating a maximum of 9,813 Wh under optimal conditions. The integrated system shows a total energy output increase of 31,37% compared to the PV panel without the thermoelectric water mist system. In addition, the water mist cooling mechanism improves efficiency while reducing water consumption compared to conventional methods. This integrated solution demonstrates the potential for improving energy conversion efficiency and reducing thermal stress in PV systems, contributing to advances in hybrid renewable energy systems for sustainable applications.
