Abstract

The high number of online gambling cases worldwide, including in Indonesia, is due to a lack of digital literacy and public awareness regarding the dangers of online gambling. The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kemenkominfo) as a government body overseeing digital activities in Indonesia aims to address this issue through the #StopJudiOnline campaign on Instagram, which is expected to shape public attitudes. This study aims to determine the extent of the influence of message content (variable X1) and visualization (variable X2) in the #StopJudiOnline campaign on attitudes (variable Y) of Instagram followers of @kemenkominfo. The research is based on the Elaboration Likelihood Model theory. The research method used is explanatory quantitative. The sampling technique employed is purposive sampling, with the research population being @kemenkominfo Instagram followers, resulting in a sample of 100 respondents determined using the Taro Yamane formula. The study was conducted through a survey-based approach. The findings indicate that both message content (variable X1) and visualization (variable X2) have a significant influence on attitude (variable Y), with visualization showing a greater impact. Statistical tests reveal that the two independent variables (message content and visualization) significantly affect the dependent variable (attitude) with a significance value of 17.3%, while the remaining 82.7% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study.
