Abstract

This legal memorandum discusses the role of forensic psychology in proving cases of child sexual abuse in Nias. In dealing with the complexity of sexual violence cases, it is important to apply comprehensive evidence. The subject matter of this memorandum of law focuses on the position and validity of forensic psychology examination results in criminal procedure law and its urgency in cases of sexual violence. The analysis shows that forensic psychology can act as expert testimony, letters, or instructions in accordance with Article 184 of KUHAP. The integration of forensic psychology evidence with conventional evidence is proposed to achieve more substantive justice and ensure optimal protection for victims and comprehensive evaluation of perpetrators.
