Abstract

As a country governed by law, it is important for Indonesia to have regulations governing all aspects of life within the state. Copyright is an exclusive right owned by the creator of the work or the copyright holder of a work that can be used to regulate, announce, or multiply the use of the work. This research is a juridical-normative type, which is a legal research method using literature or also known as secondary data. There has been the emergence of modern methods in storing or archiving artwork in an online database that can make it easier for everyone to store and access the artwork. The following is the process of storing a painting in an online database. With the development of time, new methods have emerged for storing paintings that are not only done in a traditional or conventional way but can already be done in a modern way in technology itself. Paintings can be stored through databases that can be accessed online by the public and by artificial intelligence. With the rapid development of technology from time to time, it is important for every country to have clear and evolving legal protection in line with the development of the technology itself.
