Abstract
Background: The ability to maintain balance is the basis of motor skills performance in children. Balance is divided into two, namely static which is the ability to maintain the body in a position when standing, which is then dynamic which is the ability to maintain body position when moving or walking. Dynamic imbalance can interfere with daily functional activities and increase the possibility of injury and falls while playing or doing activities. Research Purposes: To find out the description of the level dynamic balance in grade 5 students at SDN Limo 2 Depok City based on the characteristics of age, gender, BMI, flat feet, and physical activity. Methods: The research is a quantitative descriptive study using a cross-sectional approach. The measuring instrument used the Modified Bass Test of Dynamic Balance with a sample size of 88 students. Results: Students who had good category dynamic balance were 45 students (51.6%) who were found in the characteristics of 11-year-old students (77.8%) who were male (55.6%), had a normal BMI (48.9%), had a normal foot degree (60.0%), and had moderate physical activity (48.9%). Conclusion: The majority of 5th grade students at SDN Limo 2 Depok City have very good dynamic balance based on the characteristics of age, gender, BMI, flat foot, and physical activity. Keywords: Dynamic balance; motor skills; flat foot; and Modified Bass Test of Dynamic Balance.
