Abstract

This research discusses the legal consequences of party violations between players and the Kalteng Putra football club based on the principle of pacta sunt servanda. This case involves a breach of contract by the club in the form of arrears in players' salaries which has been ongoing since November 2023. Non-compliance with the contract is contrary to the principle of pacta sunt servanda which emphasizes that everything must be obeyed and carried out in good faith in accordance with the law. This research uses normative juridical research methods with legal materials, such as regulations, books, legal journals and other scientific articles. The research results show that breach of contract by clubs not only harm players financially but also have a negative impact on their careers. Settlements related to club breach of contract against players can be carried out through subpoenas, deliberations, arbitration institutions, or lawsuits in court. The results of this research emphasize the importance of contract requirements by all parties involved to prevent detrimental conflicts. By adhering to the principle of pacta sunt servanda, the working relationship between players and clubs can run more fairly and sustainably. It is hoped that this research can contribute to efforts to improve regulations and contract management in the world of sports in Indonesia, especially professional football.
