Abstract

The Faculty of Computer Science at UPN Veteran Jakarta confronts significant challenges in laboratory administration and classroom booking management. The existing manual system proves inefficient, resulting in complex registration processes, difficulties in tracking booking status, and impediments in asset damage reporting. The intricate and unstructured administrative procedures hinder academic community productivity, causing suboptimal resource utilization and diminishing academic service quality. The research aims to develop an Android-based mobile application to optimize laboratory administration and classroom borrowing processes. The proposed solution is an integrated application utilizing the Flutter framework, capable of addressing manual system limitations through a comprehensive information technology approach. The research methodology employs a Waterfall method with systematic stages: 1) needs analysis through interviews and observation, 2) planning, 3) system design, 4) application implementation, and 5) functionality testing via black box testing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to measure user satisfaction. Data collection was conducted comprehensively through questionnaires, stakeholder interviews, and direct administrative process observations. Testing results demonstrated a significant service quality improvement. UAT on the previous manual system only achieved a satisfaction level of 65.96%, whereas the new system dramatically increased user satisfaction to 93.92%. The application successfully implemented key features: notifications and room booking management, issue reporting, schedule, status room management, academic calendar, and profile management. Black box testing validated the entire application's functionality. The research conclusively proves that the Flutter-based mobile application significantly resolves laboratory administration challenges, enhances process efficiency, and provides more transparent and responsive academic services at the Faculty of Computer Science, UPN Veteran Jakarta.
