Abstract

Climate change has been seen over the past two decades. There was an increase in average temperature in 2011-2020 by 1.09oC. Climate phenomena such as El Niño and La Niña play a role in the climate anomalies of the dry season and rainy season. Climate anomalies affect the dynamics transmission of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). The condition of DHF in the city of South Tangerang has a high IR, which is 44 cases per 100,000 population in 2022. This study aims to determine the correlation of climate change factors with DHF cases in the city of South Tangerang in 2019-2023. The study used an ecological study using time series analysis with the unit of analysis in this study was 60 months (total months from 2019-2023), a Pearson product moment correlation statistical test that utilizes secondary data such as DHF cases from the South Tangerang City Health Office and climate data from Station II BMKG South Tangerang. The resulting correlation is that rainfall is significantly correlated with a very strong correlation value (r = 0.900) with DHF cases in 2019-2023. It is recommended that the government prepare a DHF alert program using climate factors as a basis for predicting DHF cases..
