Abstract
Menstrual cycle irregularities indicate compromised reproductive health and can negatively affect worker performance, particularly among female employees, as symptoms such as pain, fatigue, and discomfort may diminish productivity and focus. This study aimed to identify factors associated with menstrual cycle irregularities in female workers at PT. X. Employing a cross-sectional design, data were gathered through questionnaires comprising The Workplace Stress Scale, IPAQ, and PSQI. A purposive sampling method was used to select 133 respondents. The findings revealed that 80.5% of respondents experienced menstrual cycle irregularities. Bivariate analysis further showed significant associations between work stress (p=0.001), sleep quality (p=0.003), and physical activity (p=0.030) with these irregularities. However, no significant relationships were found between childbirth status (p=0.746), age at menarche (p=0.611), and nutritional status (p=0.763). Work stress emerged as the most influential factor, with an Odds Ratio (OR) of 26.553, suggesting that female workers experiencing mild stress had a 26.5 times higher likelihood of encountering menstrual cycle irregularities compared to those without stress, even after controlling for sleep quality and physical activity. The study recommended that the company introduce stress management programs, adjust overtime policies, and encourage regular physical activity, such as weekly exercise sessions, to enhance workers' overall health.
