Abstract

Prikasih Hospital faces challenges in meeting the Minimum Service Standards (SPM) for outpatient waiting times which are set at a maximum of 60 minutes in accordance with Minister of Health Regulation Number 30 of 2022. This research uses qualitative methods with in-depth interviews and document review, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and implementation flow. This research was conducted from November to December 2024. The results showed that the average waiting time for outpatients was 63 minutes, exceeding the set SPM ≤ 60 minutes. The long waiting time affects the quality of service, especially patient satisfaction. From the results of the information, the length of waiting time is influenced by delays in doctor visit hours in serving patients who are not on time, lack of socialization of the hospital's waiting time policy to arrive one hour before the control schedule, limited number of doctors available, and the number and age of elderly patients which causes service provided is not optimal. Prikasih Hospital can provide wider outreach to patients regarding arrival waiting time policies, increase the number of doctors and officers in service units, and provide training and competency development for officers. In addition, it is important to carry out regular evaluations of the outpatient service process and implement an efficient management system.
