Abstract
This research aims to analyze the victimization experienced by women in the context of deepfake pornography and its legal protection for victims. The research method used is normative juridical with a statutory and case approach, as well as primary data analysis from interviews and secondary data from laws and regulations. The results of the research show that women are often victims of deepfake pornography because of their vulnerability. In this case, women can be categorized as latent victims due to social and psychological factors, which make women more vulnerable to becoming targets of crime, while certain behaviors can also make women proactive victims. The impact on the victim is very complex, ranging from psychological trauma (PTSD), social isolation, loss of confidence, to economic losses due to damaged reputation. Although there are regulations such as the ITE Law, Pornography Law, TPKS Law, PSK Law, and PDP Law, but there are no rules that specifically regulate deepfake pornography. This has caused difficulties in law enforcement and victim protection, including in evidence, determination of suspects, application of the law and victim protection. Therefore, it is necessary to make specific updates to laws regulating deepfake pornography as well as improving protection for victims to ensure a safe digital space for women.
