Abstract
As a public official with the authority to create land rights deeds or deeds for property rights over apartment units, the Land Deed Official (PPAT) is responsible for drafting deedsthat can serve as legal evidence, such as a deed of granting mortgage rights. This particular deed grants the creditor a mortgage right as collateral for debt repayment. Technological advances now offer new possibilities across all areas of life, including the creation of mortgage deeds, which can now be done electronically. This study aims to explore the role of electronically created mortgage deeds as evidence. It uses a juridical-normative approach, focusing on statutes. The research finds that electronic mortgage deeds hold the same legal standing as conventional mortgage deeds and offer full evidentiary power, provided they meet the criteria of an authentic deed.
