Abstract
The income generated from the economic activities of a region and the region's ability to increase PAD can have implications for the local community, because the region can use the income for development and public services without relying on transfer funds from the center. Bali's tourism sector is known as one of the most famous in Indonesia, making it the main source of PAD for the region. However, high dependence on this sector needs to be watched out for, because it can cause PAD to be too dependent on one sector alone. Therefore, it is important to explore the potential of other sources of income in order to create a more stable and sustainable sector diversity. This study aims to see the effect of PAD on the tourism sector originating from tourist visits, the number of restaurants, and the number of hotels. The application of quantitative panel data methods that combine cross-section and time series data. Secondary data was obtained from BPS, the Ministry of Finance, and other relevant sources, then analyzed using Stata 17 software. The sample used consisted of 8 regencies and 1 city in Bali Province, the research period 2013-2023. The results of the study show that tourist visits have a significant positive effect while the number of hotels has a significant negative effect on Bali's original regional income.
