Abstract
The use of crypto assets as a transaction tool has become increasingly widespread recently. This has led to the unavoidable use of crypto assets in criminal activities to hide or disguise the proceeds of those crimes. Currently, Indonesia faces a legal gap due to the absence of specific regulations regarding the procedure for seizing crypto assets. Guideline No. 7 of 2023 from the Attorney General’s Office provides guidance on securing seized crypto assets by creating a "controlled cryptowallet" and outlines procedures for blocking, transferring, and converting or non-converting these assets. However, without comprehensive regulation in legislation, challenges such as value fluctuations and managing crypto wallets remain obstacles in the seizure process.
