Abstract
Identity management is a crucial aspect in managing access and authentication in modern information systems. The aim of this research is to design and develop identity management using FreeIPA in an academic environment, especially at the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta and also to evaluate FreeIPA's ability to meet service integration needs at the Computer Science Faculty, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta. This study covers the implementation of FreeIPA to manage users, groups, and access rights, as well as its integration with Keycloak to provide Single Sign-On (SSO) for campus services. The conclusion of this research is that FreeIPA can be implemented as an identity management solution that can be used to manage user authorization and authentication in services at the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta. FreeIPA can be integrated with existing services, one of which is the digital library application at the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta. FreeIPA can be configured with open sources such as Keycloak and pGina. The results of FreeIPA testing by user shows that FreeIPA is able to work as centralized identity management for services at the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta.
