Abstract
Technology is a primary driver of change across various sectors, including communication, education, business, and entertainment. Innovations such as the internet, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence continue to open new opportunities for improving access and quality in education. Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) initiative, a policy by the Ministry of Education and Culture, aims to provide students in Indonesia with greater opportunities to develop their interests, talents, and global competitiveness. The Faculty of Computer Science at UPN "Veteran" Jakarta offers three types of MBKM programs: MBKM Flagship or MSIB (Certified Internship and Independent Study), Collaborative Independent MBKM, and Independent MBKM, where students can independently find programs through the Merdeka campus website or other sites. Currently, MBKM activities at the Faculty of Computer Science, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, such as recommendation letter requests and the execution of MBKM programs, still rely on Google Forms. The collected data is then stored on Google Drive. In this research, the author designed and developed a system to simplify the recommendation letter submission and MBKM implementation processes at the Faculty of Computer Science, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta. This system was built using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, the Laravel framework, and HTML, CSS, and PHP programming languages. The result of this research is a web-based MBKM system that facilitates and streamlines the recommendation letter submission and MBKM processes at the Faculty of Computer Science, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta.
