Abstract
Poverty is one of the main challenges of economic development, especially in developing countries like Indonesia. East Nusa Tenggara Province consistently records the third highest poverty in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the causal effect of population, open unemployment rate and GRDP on poverty in East Nusa Tenggara Province. The research data used are all regencies/cities in NTT Province, for 7 years from 2017-2023 with a total of 154 samples from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The method applied is panel data regression through Stata 17 software with the selected model, namely the Random Effect Model (REM). The results of the study revealed that partially the population has a positive and significant effect, while the TPT and GRDP have a negative and significant effect on poverty. Meanwhile, simultaneously the population, TPT and GRDP affect poverty in East Nusa Tenggara Province.
