Abstract

This study is a quantitative research aimed at analyzing the influence of environmental performance, media exposure, and firm size on carbon emission disclosure in the basic materials sector companies in Indonesia. The research sample was determined using the purposive sampling method, resulting in 93 samples from 31 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2021–2023 period. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of Stata MP 17 software to evaluate the relationship between independent and dependent variables. The findings indicate that environmental performance, media exposure, and firm size do not have a significant effect on carbon emission disclosure.
