Abstract
Companies maximize value by utilizing tangible assets and intangible assets to strengthen capital, human resources, and organizational structure. Financial performance measurement is very important to measure success and provide transparent information to stakeholders. This study examines the effect of Intellectual Capital (IC), proxied through VAIC™ (Value Added Intellectual Coefficient), on the performance of Bank Syariah Indonesia for the period 2021-2023, as measured by profitability (ROA). This research uses descriptive quantitative methods with secondary data in the form of financial statements. Data analysis was carried out using the T test, F test, coefficient of determination (R²), and multiple linear regression using SPSS 26 software. The results showed that Value Added Capital (VACA) and Value Added Human Capital (VAHU) had a significant effect on profitability, while Structural Capital Value Added (STVA) had no effect. F test shows that IC simultaneously affects profitability. This study provides insight into the importance of intellectual capital in improving the financial performance of Islamic banks.
