Abstract
Inflation is a situation where there is a decrease in the quantity of goods that can be purchased. The mismatch between supply and demand in the national economy will basically be reflected in inflation. This study aims to analyze the macroeconomic factors that affect the inflation rate in South Korea during the period 2009-2023. The variables studied include fuel prices, interest rates, and money supply. The research method uses the Nonlinear Autoregressive Distributed Lag (NARDL) model. Data sources were obtained from Statistics Korea, Opinet, and Bank of Korea. The results showed that the fuel price has a positive and negative and significant effect on the inflation rate, the interest rate has a positive and significant effect on the inflation rate, the money supply has a positive and negative and significant effect on the inflation rate, and the variables simultaneously have a significant effect on the inflation rate.
