Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of cash flow on stock returns with profitability as a moderating variable. This study uses a purposive sampling technique and produces a total sample of 192 companies. In this study, research data was obtained from all manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2020 - 2023. The analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis with STATA v.17. The findings of this study indicate that operating cash flow, investment cash flow, and financing cash flow have no effect on stock returns. Then, profitability is able to moderate the effect of operating cash flow and financing cash flow on stock returns. Unlike investment cash flow, profitability has not been able to moderate the effect of investment cash flow on stock returns.
