Abstract

Gaming addiction is a dependency and wanting to play games continuously. If a teenager plays games excessively, it will have a negative impact on his cognitive development as in a study that investigated changes in the density of gray matter and white matter in the brains of respondents who experienced game addiction. Therefore, screening is carried out to find out the problem with the PASH BRAINS (Psychological Assessment for Spiritual Health and Brain Function Screening) questionnaire which will be tested for validity, reliability, and correlation. This study applied a validity test using the Pearson Product Moment method, a reliability test using Cronbach's Alpha and Intraclass Correlation Coeffisients, and a correlation test using Spearman Rank with a sample of 45 people. The validity test showed that 66 items of the questionnaire were declared valid with a calculated r value greater than the r table (0.294), while the other 9 items were invalid because they had a calculated r smaller than the r table (0.294). The reliability test of 66 valid items showed reliable results with Cronbach's Alpha Consistency value above 0.6 and the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) above 0.4. In addition, the results of the Spearman Rank correlation showed that there was a relationship between FET and FEK questionnaire items. The PASH BRAINS questionnaire shows good validity and reliability test results, so that it can be used as a reliable research tool.
