Abstract

Indonesia is the country with the fourth largest population in the world with a total population of 270 million people. As a developing country, Indonesia is still haunted by problems related to food security. Food security itself is a condition where the state and individuals have easy and sufficient access to food sources. As an archipelagic country, it is certainly not an easy thing for Indonesia to distribute food from one island to another, this is due to the inadequate infrastructure in several regions. Especially areas outside Java, while most Indonesians still use rice as the main source of carbohydrates, the largest producer of which comes from Java. Based on the national food security and vulnerability map released by the Ministry of Agriculture, Maluku Province is in the third group of priority areas. With this increase in food vulnerability, making the Government Indonesia strives to immediately improve the quality and distribution of food in the Maluku region, namely by implementing various community programs through the Ministry and through collaboration and cooperation with FAO as the world food security agency.
