Abstract
The world of technology has developed rapidly recently, technological developments in this era have brought various changes to the life cycle. With the presence of this sophisticated technology, it can make things easier for humans to do, such as doing business. The author uses Midtrans as a payment gateway. Midtrans can be used for free via the website using API, especially the REST API. The REST API is based on the principles of the REST architecture, which prioritizes simplicity, scalability, and readability. The research method used is the prototype method. The results of testing carried out by the author, all payment processes run well followed by webhooks as payment status notifications to the application backend. There are different types of payments depending on what type of payment the user chooses. However, in the payment process using Gopay, Midtrans cannot provide a payment barcode. It is suspected that payments using QRIS are in error or cannot be used in the Midtrans Sandbox environment several months ago. All transactions are successful and are labeled with the status ‘PENDING’ and change to “PAID” when the user successfully pays. Keywords: Midtrans, Payment Gateway, E-commerce, REST API
