Abstract
An inventory system is a web-based information system intended to manage and monitor inventory. The bookkeeping process at SMA Hangtuah 1 Jakarta still relies on manual methods which have a high risk of human error. This research aims to design and develop a web-based inventory system at SMA Hangtuah 1 Jakarta with the best supporting method. The method used in this research is the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method because after analyzing using PIECES analysis, the problem of delays in updating data was found because the system was not real-time, Implementation of the current system still does not have a clear bureaucracy, Manual input, risk of data being mixed or lost, requires significant time and effort, lack of support because the data processing and reports are still done manually. The data used in this study are data from observations and interviews of administrative staff at Hangtuah 1 Jakarta High School. With the existence of a web-based goods inventory system at Hangtuah 1 Jakarta High School, the improvement of the bookkeeping system can be more efficient, structured, and transparent. It can be concluded, this system can provide a better user experience in implementing a modern and integrated inventory system.
