Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to explain to readers the efforts made by Nahdlatul Ulama in promoting moderate Islamic values on a global level through the R20 Forum in 2022. The research method used in this thesis is descriptive qualitative research. Research data was obtained through literature reviews, analysis of official documents, and sources relevant to the research topic. The concepts and theories used in this research are Multi-Track Diplomacy, Faith-Based Diplomacy, and Moderat Islamic. The results show that several efforts were made by Nahdlatul Ulama in spreading moderate Islamic values globally through the R20 Forum in 2022, such as (1) providing a space for interfaith dialogue that differs from typical interfaith forums; (2) actively campaigning against extremism and radicalism during the forum; (3) collaborating with various international organizations and institutions to ensure that the message of moderate Islam reaches a wider international audience; (4) disseminating moderate Islamic values through publications and media during and after the event.
