Abstract
The utilization of waste in Indonesia poses a significant challenge, particularly in handling waste derived from food leftovers. One notable type of food waste is pineapple waste. Pineapple waste, classified as organic waste, has the potential to be utilized in the production of briquettes. To implement this, a briquette molding tool has been designed with a capacity of 15 pieces and dimensions of 370 x 360 x 393 mm. The operation of this tool begins with the preparation of the briquette mixture, followed by the hydraulic jack pressing process. After conducting trials, the resulting briquettes have an outer diameter of 4.6 cm and an inner diameter of 0.95 cm, with a total weight of 15 briquettes amounting to 1,166 grams. The overall time required for the pressing process is 44 minutes. The products from this briquette molding tool can serve as an alternative fuel source.
