Abstract
Background: Adolescence is a critical period in an individual's life that influences their physical and psychological growth so that adequate and appropriate nutritional intake is needed. Excessive nutritional intake can cause obesity which affects long-term health. One of the factors causing obesity is consumption patterns. High consumption of fast food, driven by the convenience and popularity of online food delivery services, has become a trend among teenagers. This habit can increase the risk of obesity if it is not balanced with sufficient physical activity. Objective: Analyze the relationship between fast food consumption, online food ordering, and physical activity with obesity in public high school students in the Administrative City of West Jakarta. Method: This study used a cross-sectional design with a sample of 85 respondents selected using a stratified random sampling technique. Nutritional status data was obtained by anthropometric measurements, frequency of fast food consumption using the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ), frequency of ordering food online using a questionnaire, and physical activity using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) short form. Results: The results of Chi-square analysis show that ordering food online (p-value=0.020) has a relationship with obesity, while fast food consumption (p-value=0.296) and physical activity (p-value=0.638) have no relationship with obesity. obesity. Conclusion: This study shows that obesity can be influenced by online food ordering which is associated with increased energy intake from frequently ordered types of food and decreased physical activity. Other factors that may influence obesity are meal portions, consumption of sweet foods or drinks, compliance with physical activity, genetics, hormones and medications.
