Abstract
Background: Cerebral palsy spastic diplegia is a neurological condition that occurs in childhood, where this condition affects the control of balance and muscle coordination characterized by the child’s lower extremities will be heavier than the upper extremities. The physiotherapy interventions provided include bobath. Objective: This study was conducted with the aim of knowing how physiotherapy management in patients with spastic diplegia cerebral palsy conditions. Methods: This study uses a case study method which includes patient data, assessment results, physiotherapy problems and diagnoses, physiotherapy intervention planning, intervention delivery and evaluation. Results: After 3 physiotherapy treatments with bobath intervention, it was found that there was an increase in motor function, namely stabilization in the sitting position, but there was no decrease in spasticity in both limbs using the ashwort scale assessment. Conclusion: In this study it was found that there was an increase in stabilization in children with spastic diplegia cerebral palsy cases using bobath interventions that could improve motor function, increase muscle strength and reduce spasticity.
