Abstract
Some women can experience disorders that are usually felt during menstruation. Menstrual disorders that are often experienced by women include abdominal pain or what is called dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea is a condition characterized by recurrent cramp-like pain which is mainly located in the lower abdomen during menstruation. The aim of this research is to determine eating habits, nutritional status and physical activity on the incidence of dysmenorrhea in female students at the Faculty of Health Sciences, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta. The research used a cross sectional design with sampling using the stratified random sampling method. The population in this study was 212 female students from the Faculty of Health Sciences, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta. Data collection instruments used the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) questionnaire to measure the incidence of dysmenorrhea, Adolescent Food Habits Checklist (AFHC) to examine eating habits, the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) to assess physical activity, and measurement of height and weight using a tool (microtizers and digital scales). Based on the research results, 84.4% of respondents experienced dysmenorrhea. The results of the bivariate test using chi-square showed that only nutritional status had a significant relationship with the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea (p=0.046), while eating habits did not have a significant relationship (p=0.433) nor did physical activity have a significant relationship with the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea. (0.341).
