Abstract
Adultery is a disgraceful act committed by humans which is based on humans' own feelings of dissatisfaction based on the relationships experienced by other humans, whether men or women commit adultery. Usually, adultery is known as an act of violating fidelity in a relationship, where one or both partners engage in intimate relations with another person outside of marriage or a legal relationship. Adultery also involves various complex psychological, social and cultural factors. Psychological studies highlight individual motivations, needs for affection or sexual satisfaction, as well as problems in communication or intimacy in existing relationships. Social factors such as cultural norms, media influence, and social pressure also play an important role in understanding perspectives and perceptions of adultery. Ethical, moral, and religious issues often form the basis for judgments about adultery, with views varying across cultures and religions. Research on adultery is important to understand its impact on individuals, relationships, and society. In efforts to overcome adultery, an integrated and early approach, including comprehensive sexual education, social support, and promotion of the values of commitment and fidelity in relationships, may be able to help reduce the incidence of adultery and improve the quality of relationships. Apart from that, things that can trigger this could also be the nature of a person himself when he commits adultery, someone just wants validation from other people, social and perceived as a great person by rudely sleeping with someone with great influence in society. This notion is considered taboo, so there is a lot of news about adultery involving state officials, artists and other influential people. To be more specific the act of adultery also has many negative impacts, when the intimate relationship is detrimental to one of the parties. From this adultery, sexual harassment, rape, sodomy and abortion occur, which we usually know as immoral acts.
