Abstract
Background: Spastic diplegia cerebral palsy is Children with spastic diplegia cerebral palsy have characteristics such as increased muscle tone, paralysis, involuntary movement control, and greater spasticity in the lower extremities compared to other parts of the body, often experiencing difficulty in maintaining balance due to control. bad posture. The most common type of cerebral palsy is spastic (77.4%). Purpose: To find out how physiotherapy is managed in cases of spastic diplegia cerebral palsy at the Kitty center. Method: This research uses a descriptive case study approach to provide a systematic description of a certain population and analyze the case in depth. With one patient participating in this study, the parameters used were GMFM and GMFCS to assess the child's motor skills and independence. Results: After carrying out physiotherapy intervention using massage, stretching, strengthening, and assistive devices for 3 times, the results showed that there was an increase in muscle strength. Conclusion: Physiotherapy intervention given to children with spastic cerebral palsy on foot provides changes in muscle strength in walking exercises on a rail bar. Keywords: Cerebral palsy spastic diplegia, lower extremities, spasticity, GMFM, GMFCS
