Abstract
Cyberbullying has become a serious problem that affects many individuals, especially children, teenagers, and even adults. Cyberbullying can have significant negative impacts, including deep psychological trauma for victims. This study aims to analyze the implementation of criminal sanctions against cyberbullying perpetrators in Indonesia and how cyberbullying is handled in the country. The research methodology used is normative juridical, with an approach based on legislation, case studies, and conceptual analysis. The study highlights the existence of laws related to cyberbullying, such as the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE) and the Criminal Code (KUHP), which regulate cyberbullying handling in Indonesia. However, several challenges hinder its effectiveness, including low legal awareness among the public, limitations in law enforcement capabilities, and insufficient collaboration between the government, internet service providers, and society. The research emphasizes the need for more effective legal protection for cyberbullying victims and stricter enforcement against perpetrators. Additionally, legal education for the public regarding the dangers of cyberbullying and its legal consequences is crucial. In conclusion, to minimize the psychological impact experienced by cyberbullying victims, more comprehensive and effective criminal sanctions are necessary, along with efforts to raise legal awareness among the society.
