Abstract

This research aims to discuss the implementation of the nuclear energy submarine construction program by the AUKUS Partnership for Australia on the stability of Indonesia's maritime security in the Indo Pacific region using the concept of the Regional Security Complex, Neorealism theory, maritime security theory. The method used in this writing is descriptive qualitative using primary and secondary data sources. Researchers used four stages of data analysis according to Miles & Huberman, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal/verification with data triangulation. The results of this research state that the SSN-AUKUS development program has an impact on the stability of Indonesia's maritime security in the Indo Pacific region. The AUKUS partnership has violated the Non-Proliferation Agreement in articles 1,2 and 4; Southeast Asia Nuclear Weapon Free Zone and triggers ASEAN as the main pillar of maintaining the stability of the Southeast Asian nuclear-free region.
