Abstract
Antenatal Care (ANC) quality improvement is needed to reduce maternal mortality rate in Indonesia, which is far above SDGs target (70 per 100,000 live births). Ultrasound supplying and doctor training program had been implemented to improve ANC but evaluation of it’s output hasn’t been done. This study aims to depict the utilization condition of ultrasonography examination as well as First Visit (K1) and Fifth Visit (K5) services at puskesmas in Indonesia in 2023. This study used an Ecological Study Design with Spatial Distribution Analysis method. Results showed that in Pure K1 variable 4 out of 38 provinces reached the target (92%). In K1 and K5 with a general practitioner examination and K1 and K5 with ultrasound examination variable, no province reached the target (92%). In puskesmas having ultrasound variable 33 out of 38 provinces reached the target (85.54%). in puskesmas with ultrasound-trained doctors variable 5 out of 38 provinces have reached the target (100%). It’s concluded that the majority of provinces in Indonesia haven’t met the national target. It’s expected that the Governments immediately coordinate to improve target achievement through equal distribution of doctors, ultrasound equipment at puskesmas, and increasing maternal knowledge related to ultrasound and ANC through health promotion.
