Abstract
This research aims to discuss and analyze the implementation of cooperation between Indonesia and Germany in managing plastic waste to achieve Sustainable Development Goals goal 12 in 2019-2023. Indonesia has a plastic waste problem which has many negative impacts on the environment, including high levels of plastic waste leaking into the sea. This research uses descriptive research and qualitative research methods. Indonesia collaborates with Germany in waste management in Indonesia where Germany is the country with the highest recycling rate. Indonesia is collaborating with Germany by implementing the circular economy concept through the 3RProMar project in Manado, Bandung and the Thousand Islands and the ERiC-SWM project in Jambi, Jombang, Malang and Sidoarjo. The result of this collaboration is the success of the collaboration which leads to the achievement of SDGs Goal 12, where the 3RproMar project succeeded in increasing public awareness in reducing waste and the ERiC-SWM project succeeded in building four landfills using the sanitary landfill method. This has succeeded in reducing waste in the collaboration location area.
