Abstract

ABC Company is a company engaged in the procurement, installation, maintenance and manufacture of components for elevators and escalators. To meet this demand, sufficient stock is needed to meet the need for Elevator Spare Parts. For some time at this company the availability of Spare Parts experienced stockouts or overstocks, resulting in unexpected cost increases. The aim of this research is to carry out an analysis of optimal inventory control planning for Elevator Spare Parts which absorb greater funds using ABC Classification, Forecasting, and also inventory control with the Continuous Review System and Periodic Review System as a comparison. The results of the ABC classification show that group A consists of 2 types of Spare Parts, namely Emergency Stop Button and Battery NP7 which has an investment presentation of 63%. Then the two items are forecasted using the Single Moving Average method with a period of 2 months because they have the smallest MAD, MSE and MAPE values. The research results show that Emergency Stop Button has a total inventory of goods using the continuous review system method of IDR 253,286,858 and can reduce 36.78% of company policy. Meanwhile, the Battery NP7 item has a total of goods using the continuous review system method of IDR 137,380,521 which can reduce by 46.17%. The use of the continuous review system method is an optimal method for reducing the company's inventory costs
