Abstract

Stunting can be seen from the child's body being shorter than normal children of the same age. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between sanitation, health facilities and birth weight with the incidence of under-five stunting in DKI Jakarta Province. This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional study design and used secondary data from Riskesdas 2018. Bivariate analysis was conducted using chi-square and mann whitney tests, followed by multivariate analysis using multiple logistic regression. The results of the bivariate test showed a significant association between age (p-value 0.005 <0.05) and birth weight (p-value 0.049 <0.05). There was no significant association between gender (p-value 0.346>0.05), father's education (p-value 0.603>0.05), mother's education (p-value 0.067>0.05), sanitation (p-value 1.000>0.05) and access to health facilities (p-value 0.114>0.05). There are several factors that can prevent stunting, one of which is by understanding the factors that trigger stunting such as gender, age, father and mother education, sanitation, access to health facilities and birth weight.
