Abstract

Tubectomy participation in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province decreased to 25,675 from 37,988 acceptors. This study aimed to determine the relationship between age, education level, employment status, parity, antenatal care history, first birth attendant, KIA book ownership, family planning (KB) counseling, and telemedicine utilization on Tubectomy selection. This study used a quantitative method with cross sectional design. The data sourced from the National Socio-Economic Survey with a population of 2,587 women of childbearing age. Sample of study was 100 women of childbearing age in NTT 2022. The results showed 22% of respondents used the Tubectomy method and there was a significant relationship between the factors of age (p = 0.000), parity (p = 0.000), first birth attendant (p = 0.038), and KB counseling (p = 0.000) to Tubectomy selection. This study concluded the age of women of childbearing > 35 years, parity ≥ 3, the birth attendant was a health worker, and had attended KB counseling would make them choose Tubectomy. It is recommended that stakeholders undertake infrastructure development, equitable distribution of health workers, and a massive family planning counseling program.
