Abstract

The advancement of technology is inseparable from the rapid growth of applications on Android. Applications serve various purposes in daily life aspects, ranging from communication to business. In this digital transformation era, service industries such as laundry services are also adopting technology to improve their operational efficiency. Smile Laundry is a laundry service that provides a pickup and delivery service within a maximum radius of 500 meters from the location. Previously, the determination of customer radius was conducted manually using Google Maps, which was deemed inefficient. On the other hand, customers also complained about the slow response to ordering via WhatsApp. This research aims to develop an Android-based Smile Laundry application using the Flutter framework that can facilitate ordering and implement the Haversine Algorithm to automatically calculate the radius of customers' homes. The methodology used includes Literature Study, Fountain Model, and Report Writing. The final research results show that the Haversine Algorithm proves to be the most accurate with an average distance difference of 4.639 meters in calculating the customer radius at Smile Laundry application. Thus, this application can streamline the ordering process for customers and assist Smile Laundry in automatically determining the feasibility of pick-up and delivery services based on the radius using the Haversine Algorithm.
