Abstract
The development of information technology has significantly impacted various fields, including education. At the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jakarta, the approval process for thesis titles is still conducted manually through face-to-face meetings, one of the challenges in this process being title similarity. To prevent potential plagiarism, this study aims to develop a web-based application that uses the Winnowing Algorithm to efficiently detect similarities in thesis titles. Using Agile methodology and the Kanban approach, this application is expected to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the thesis title approval process. The implementation of this application prototype is anticipated to minimize the risk of plagiarism and facilitate the program coordinators in verifying titles.
