Abstract
Education plays a vital role and serves as a primary instrument for advancing the social and economic welfare of society. Currently, the quality of education in Indonesia is quite concerning. This occurs due to various issues within the Indonesian education system, which result in the low quality of education nationwide. Utilizing zakat to advance education is a relevant and significant effort in achieving sustainable progress in human development. Therefore, the effective management of zakat distribution is expected to impact education positively. This research aims to determine the mechanism, implementation, and effectiveness of the educational scholarship program in achieving the SDGs in Baznas Tangerang City. This research employs a qualitative method using a case study approach. This research utilizes primary data obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation. The secondary data used in this research comprises literature or literature reviews. According to the research results, the distribution of the educational scholarship program in Baznas Tangerang City effectively achieved the SDGs by meeting indicators of target accuracy, socialization, objectives, and program monitoring. Moreover, this scholarship fund has proven to impact SDGs, as evidenced by an increase in the number of years of schooling and the education level of mustahik.
