Abstract
Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim majority population in the world and has enormous ZIS potential. However, the realization collection is still far from its potential value. Poverty is still a problem in Indonesia. It is said that zakat is productively able to overcome and alleviate the problem of poverty. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the level of effectiveness of economic empowerment in the Amanah Fund program implemented by Laznas Bakrie Amanah. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with a study approach at Laznas Bakrie Amanah. Data collection was obtained from primary sources by conducting observations and interviews and secondary sources from news, newsletters, official websites, social media, and also reports from the institution. The results of this study indicate that the distribution mechanism for economic empowerment in the Amanah Fund program at Laznas Bakrie Amanah has been categorized as effective because it meets the indicators of effectiveness, namely target accuracy, program socialization, program objectives, and program monitoring. The Amanah Fund program also fulfills aspects of multidimensional poverty, namely health, education, and living standards which are considered effective and can alleviate poverty.
