Abstract

This study aims to identify The Influence of Local Government Size, Level of Local Government Wealth, and Level of Dependency of Local Government on Regional Financial Performance in Indonesia. The main issue examined is whether the size of local government, wealth level, and dependency on the central government have a significant influence on their financial performance. The study population includes 542 districts/cities in 34 provinces of Indonesia, with complete data accessible through the website of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). The research sample utilizes a saturated sampling method (census), where the entire population serves as the research sample. The data used are quantitative data from the financial reports of district/city governments for the year 2022, audited by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). Data analysis is conducted using a quantitative approach. The results of the analysis are expected to provide a deeper understanding of how the size of local government, wealth level, and dependency on the central government influence the financial performance of local governments in Indonesia The research findings indicate that the size of local government and the level of dependency on the central government do not have a positive effect, whereas the level of regional wealth positively influences the financial performance of local government.
